About Me

I am 21 years old and studying for a degree in Computing & French at the University of Kent. I gained A-levels in German, French, Business Studies and General Studies (grades A, B, C, A) at South Wilts Grammar School.

My hobbies and interests are important to me. I am particularly interested in language and linguistics, and recently completed a module in French Linguistics as a part of my degree course at Kent University. I am also interested in ancient culture & mythology, specifically the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. I enjoy several quite diverse hobbies including dressmaking (I have made one or two of my own outfits for my portfolio), web design, aromatherapy and partying! I don't smoke, I eat healthily, and work out at the gym at least 3 times per week. I also quite enjoy photography (mainly landscape).

As with all young girls, becoming a model and acquiring recognition was a vague dream, but being big-busted and of medium height, I had never given it much serious thought. Gradually I became more into the idea however, encouraged by the success of big-breasted models such as Kelly Brook; comments from friends, boyfriend and family; and the increase in the production of plus-size (larger cup size) lingerie ranges by major manufacturers.

I did a little research and sent off some photos to Models UK. Mark (models.co.uk publisher) wrote back suggesting I post on their message boards, so on Tuesday 23rd of January I put together a website of amateur photos and placed an advert. Within a day I'd had 8 or 10 interested photographers e-mail me enquiring about shoots.

My first professional photoshoot was on Wednesday 31st of January - a test shoot with The Tangerine Agency. The photographer, Diana, was really helpful and sweet, and I enjoyed myself during the shoot.

My second shoot was on Thursday the 9th of February 2001 with Len Goldapple in his North London studio. I'd seen some examples of his work and talked to him a little on msn messenger, beforehand. We'd arranged to do some 'prints for time' work together to help me build up my portfolio. Unfortunately I still haven't had the prints from this session.

As far as areas of modelling goes, I am interested in building a portfolio with a range of different types. The kind of work I am primarily interested in is magazine editorial and fashion modelling. I am also willing to do glamour modelling, meaning lingerie, swimwear and some limited implied nudity. I don't intend to do any fully nude work unless it's for Playboy! And definitely no adult work.

In modelling, I am primarily interested in magazine editorial work - I would love to be featured in a fashion mag or 'lads' mag such as FHM or Maxim, and if I were invited to pose for Playboy I would be delighted. Another type of modelling I'd like to get into would be lingerie modelling - with my figure I could promote so-called 'plus-size' lingerie ranges. Of course, my ultimate aim is fame and fortune, but my main goal if I do actually make it will be to promote naturally large breasts. This has been a personal issue for me for some time now, so it would be nice to be able to do something for the cause and slow the invasion of those sillicone spheres!

The idea of the journal is to provide an account of an aspiring model's forays into the business. It will include information on the photoshoots and assignments I undertake and my thoughts and experiences relating to modelling, as well as internet links to related sites and resources. The site as a whole is intended to act as both a showcase for myself and an information resource for other modelling wannabees.
